I Object

Exhibition Statement
I Object reflects my fascination with and exploration of paradox, incongruity, and duality: in our culture in human relationships, in the media, and in art. In "I Object", whichever way you read it, I question women's role in art. In each painting a nude woman reflects on a work of art. Is she a participant, an object, or an observer? And we…are we viewer or voyeur? I hope the lurking undercurrents in this work will engage you.
